Management: Work closely with Associate Director for Library Services to manage law library technical services operations. Direct supervisory responsibility for two staff members.
Acquisitions: Place orders for books, standing orders, and journal subscriptions. Create bibliographic records and order records in ILS. Cancel standing orders and subscriptions. Approve invoices for payment. Review statements of accounts from vendors and resolve billing questions and disputes with vendors. Review monthly procurement card transactions for purchase of library materials.
Collection Development: Distribute approval books and new book slips to selectors according to subject areas. Compile cost and other information on standing order titles and journal subscriptions for review by the Collection Development Committee as requested.
Electronic Resources: Obtain pricing and related information for potential electronic resource purchases. Place orders for new electronic resources and coordinate the execution of license agreements. Work with vendors and local IT staff to resolve access problems. Load and update MARC records in ILS for BNA, CCH, and LLMC electronic resources.
Cataloging: Some cataloging of monographs, new serial titles, and serial title changes. Some original cataloging may occasionally be required.
Reference and Instruction: Negotiable depending upon qualifications and interest of successful candidate.
