Background: The Felipe Herrera Library at the IDB headquarters (Washington, DC) is looking for a Data and Publications Librarian with minimum of 3 years of experience providing high-quality client oriented library services, for a 3-year appointment.

Education: You have your Master’s in Library, Information Science or Information Management or equivalent; if you have a second degree in an area related to your clients’ development challenges (social sector and macroeconomics), you definitely have an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing high-quality client oriented library services. 4 years of experience preferred. You have sound searching and information curation skills, which help you find the right information and deliver it to your clients timely and effectively. You are knowledgeable about metadata information exchange among systems. You value teamwork but are also able to work independently and use your own judgement. You also love working under pressure, on a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is desirable.
